My husband and I bought a new faucet for our tub. I thought I was helping and screwed on the new faucet. We realized later it's the wrong style, and now its stuck. Apparently I cranked this thing on pretty good. We would like to not damage the new faucet, so we can return it, but I dont care anymore.

right here right now, over there later on.
there are literally thousands of different types of tub faucets
if ou could be so kind as to tell us what the name of the faucet is, we may be able to help
a picture would even be better,

You can put a rag or towel or rubber grip pad around it and use a large wrench to try to turn it to remove it.
