Need to fix leak, but with this faucet, can't get past first step! How to remove the handle to get to the screw underneath. Tried pulling, prying. No luck. Any suggestions?

if there anot visible screws or Allen heads usually the baseof the handle will spin off
(Counter click wise) this will exspose the stem

the handle won't spin.....it's like one long peice the handle
is positioned ontop of the stem and when the base is turned
it threads down connecting the handle/and body to the stem

I was afraid that might be the answer. Because of how close it is to the back wall, I can't turn it counterclockwise more than half a turn. Should I just remove the whole thing from underneath?

No, you don't turn the long handle part. Grip the top handle part and hold onto it and then either with your hand or a rubber strap wrench you turn the bell part under the handle counterclockwise as Geofd explained. It will unscrew and then you can lift it off the stem to get to it. Put it back on the same way. Let us know if this helped you..
