hey all,

So we just realized we forgot to turn off our outside water and bleed the lines out before winter hit... Thus, we bought a heat gun, and are planning on doing it now.

Our problem however is - we cannot for the life of us find the outside shutoff valve.

wondering - could it be attached to the water heater? (they are the only shut off plumming valves we can find - with the exception of the one that sends water to the whole house...

So anyhow, we could really use some help here... is there any way we can find this shutoff vale for the outside water?

thanks everyone

if you can not find the shut off. turn the meter off

I do not know about your area. but around here.
where ever the water enters the house, above it is a hose bib
it is not code or law, it is just the way we do it..

find the hose bib, dig down under it

You are not properly explaining what you are trying to do.

Take a minute, picture everything in your mind, and start over from A to Z.

And read CT18’s post before starting to explain.
