How can I revive this well?

Hi all!

New homeowner and DIYer here. Got this in my backyard, thinking if something can be done to bring this well back to life. Looking to rebuild the wood base and change parts as need. Do I recreate the same configuration, or its missing certain parts?

I would pull the pipe out of the well, cut the casing square, and reinstall the well seal or a new one. The pump is cracked and the tank and everything else is old. Probably better off to get a new pump and controls. Something like a J10S would be a good pump and a PK1A control kit would be much better than just a new tank. It would look like the picture to the left.

Interesting, never really understood how a CSV works. My new under construction house has the traditional system in use as we continue to build and add on our water distribution system. Probably now is the time to add a CSV.
