Never had hot water recirc before. But I'm in process of building my own new home and I am considering a hot water system. I have talked to Grundfos and Taco and still no positive answer to the following questions; if I don't use a timer for high usage times does the pump run constant. If I do use a timer does the pump run constant all day anyway during the programmed on times. And lastly while I realize how great it would be to have near instant hot water at a distant bathroom-I am wondering with a recirc pump constantly dumping slightly less than fully hot water from the loop back into the tank could cause the hot water tank to need to heat the water more often?
If anyone has experience with. A recirc system and could help me learn here that would be great. Thanks
