HJ-40 Shower cartridge makes knocking sound

The cartridge looks exactly like one I fond on a Price-Pfister faucet. Apparently common on both Euro and Asian faucets with "ceramic" cartridges.
In any event, it's easy to find replacements on Amazon just look for same pattern gasket on far end. Link

The issue is the hj-40 cartridge is longer than those non-pressure balance cartridge. It will not fit with the original handle cylinder. You have to get the complete handle set to replace with.
