I'm new to the UPC, I've had all my training under the IPC. Can anyone give me some pointers on high-rise dwv designs?

pipe size depends on fixture units

yeah, man, find a pipe chase and run a waste stake up to the top floor, install a yoke vent every 5th floor
connected to the vent stack.

stub a tee out of the chase on the waste line low, on the vent line, stub it out high

LOL thats about it
fire caulk, sleeves, risor clamps. ETC ETC

Not sure what you're looking for, maybe frodo is on the right track.
Do yo want to know the IPC/UPC differences, high rise info or a combination of all?
In high rises, most codes are pretty generic and similar. It's the details in more concentrated areas that you will find a conflict between IPC or UPC, in my experiences.
My area still follows some of the older codes that all others were based on (older than the 1928 UPC) integrated with newer codes. Do you have a particular situation or looking to update your education?
Opinions flow freely around here if you ask the right question.:)
