High pitched nose from garden hose when water is on

Hello,

I have a high pitched nose coming from the outside facuet that can be heard from inside of the house. I am hooking up a pool auto-filler and trying to leave it running but the nose from the spigot is too loud to do so. Hoping to find a way to fix this. Thank you!

Make sure the faucet is 100% on

It might be that vacuum breaker. Try replacing it. They lock on and to remove it I either carefully cut them off or drill the set screw out that’s rusted on the side of it.

You could just replace the entire valve and new vacuum breaker from the start. Yours screws on and off.
