Hi, I am just a DIY’r trying to get some advice. We had a plumber lined up for our new construction home, but that fell through and after many calls, we can’t find another, so I’m trying to do this myself.
We are in south Louisiana and codes are Louisiana Plumbing Code based on IPC.

I’m trying to lay out the drains and vents as simple as possible. I will attach photos of what I have so far. I appreciate any and all advice.
Questions
1. The tub/shower drain in the first photo falls right inside a footing. Will this cause a bind on this pvc connection?
2. Should I run the tub/shower drain like the second photo instead? Concern is staying out of the 45 degree bearing plane of the footing and connecting so close to the washer drain coming from the top.

Thanks again for taking the time to read this and offering any suggestions.

(3rd photo is the original drawings of the house plans.)

The way you have it laid out is more work but easier for a first timer maybe.

Stay out of the footing if at all possible until it necessary in order to connect the fixture.

Make sure you make great glue connections using both primer and solvent.
Make sure your pipe doesn’t push itself back out.

Don’t put too much pitch on the pipe. Use a level and backfill carefully.

Make sure you put your pipes in the proper locations.

Consider using a chopsaw with an abrasive blade to make perfect factory cuts.

Plug the main outside the foundation and extend the 3” stack at least 5’ high, then fill with water . Make sure you have no leaks.

Thanks for the reply. I was trying to combine as much as possible, but this bathroom fell right in those footings and made things more complicated.

should I come up with rebar from bottom of footing and tape/wrap the pipe to rebar for support?

i was planing to put a 10 foot section of 2” pvc in the kitchen drain to test.

Thanks again and I’m open to any suggestions.
