    Hi everyone,
Just joined the forum in hopes of getting a little help with my shower situation. I want to install a new shower head in my guest bathroom. Since the shower is fairly small, I think a shower head like the one pictured below that streams the water from directly overhead will be best. My problem is that the plumbing is not at the correct height for this. I'm trying to avoid removing the tile and extending the plumbing to the correct shower head height. Is there any way to install a new shower head with and waterfall type head with my current plumbing? Thanks for any help.

The picture you have at the bottom is what I was going to suggest. You could do it exactly like the picture

When you say, "that the plumbing is not at the correct height for this", were you referring to shower head height vs the height of your hose connection?

I am referring to the height between the center of the handle and the center of the shower connection shown above. The distance between these two is 7".
    upload_2019-6-12_9-5-15.png
The distance between the two wall mounts for this bar seem to be roughly 20" apart. I was assuming the top mount of the new head would connect to the water outlet and the bottom mount connect where my on/off handle is. I'm not sure why they put the pipe only 7" above the handle in a standup shower? Ideally I would like to install the new head shown above, just not sure how I would do it with the short distance between my handle and my shower head pipe. Hope this helped explain things better. Thanks for taking the time to help me out everyone.

That is a handy cap shower
the hand held is low so it can be accessed by a wheel chair bound person
it is not correct..but that looks to be the intent

to install the item you posted

remove the existing shower head , nipple,
    install the new unit

the shower extension you are showing is not one piece, it has several parts
if you would post a link to the actual item..we can go over exactly what you gotta do

I'm not having any luck finding a bottom fed unit. I did find some shower risers, although the tops of the ones I found might not reach out far enough over the shower to mount the rain head directly above where it needs to be. The more I look around, it seems like it would be easiest to just put something together myself with elbows and pipe.

you can buy chrome pipe and elbows
also the wall to pipe brackets

you will need a wrench called a strap wrench so you do not mar the chrome

Pluck yeah! Except I’d use powered actuators with a remote control!

Oh yeah, there’s no bottom fed units, these are designed as retrofit units to mount on a standard shower head outlet.

Our Menard's flyer has a Delta shower hose and spray wand that you can hook to the nipple coming out the wall
and then there is a slide bar that you can slide the shower wand as high as you want. It's $19.99.
