Hello, i clearly do not have a whole lot of knowledge or experience in the matter. This being said, can someone please identify this piece for me and give me some basic information on it.. (The items name used to refer to it. Its uses and functions.. And its general value.. ) i would be really grateful for your time and knowledge. Thank you

That is a sink drain and tailpiece, for a vanity or bathroom type of sink.

There should be more parts to it, there would be a pop-up drain linkage that would attach inside of it.

Those are usually sold as a set along with a new sink faucet.

Value is very low, maybe $25.00, if all the missing pieces can be located.
