I'm attempting to replace a handle on an old Shower Valve. 1960 ranch house. Need help identifying. Thanks!IMG_3820.jpegIMG_3823.jpegIMG_3825.jpegIMG_3821.jpeg

Get yourself a Moen 1222B cartridge. It comes with instructions.

At that age, a cartridge puller might be beneficial to have, but it’s not necessary. Really stuck cartridges have a tendency to break apart inside the valve then a 20 minute job turns into a 2 hour job in a hurry

I thought Moen Positemp had HC molded into the top of that white plastic tab.
Is that a knockoff cartridge?
Or do some just not have that?

I’ve not really noticed it but I assume it’s an older posi-temp thing. Seeing posi-temps with the stops is rare too they haven’t been made with those in a long time
