Hi there! First time posting here, Id appreciate any advice you can give me.

Im installing a new sink in my bathroom and I can't figure out how to connect the ABS to this 1 1/2" cast iron drain hole. It looks like it's both venting and draining. I'd rather not tear open the drywall and replace the cast iron entirely. Is there a transition piece I can use that would connect to the drain pictured?

It looks like it is a 1-1/2" no hub tee in the wall.
The only way to transition would be what we call a Mission (brand name) T150. It transitions from 1-1/2" steel or no-hub to tubular. It is a no-hub coupling that serves as an adapter.
It needs to be tightened fully and for that, a 1/4" drive socket on a ratchet with a 5/16" head works.
It will req. breaking around the sheetrock to get access. Then patching and painting, then using escutcheons to trim.
Looks like what we call "knumbskulls" did this project. Sorry for you.
