Greetings all. I'm English, but living in the south of the Czech Republic. I speak some Czech but not enough for a complicated discussion about plumbing. So I'm hoping for a bit of advice from people here before I approach a local. Then it might flow a bit more smoothly. (My wife can translate but she can get tired doing that, so I try to keep it to a minimum).
As for an introduction - I was a tradesman in London for years until I got fed up with it, met my now wife, moved to the middle of nowhere, and try to teach English to some people in a local town here. We live very close to the old cold war border here, just a few hours walk now. And there's a railway that the Czechs once optimisticaly built to link up with Passau in Germany, but it doesn't go anywhere beyond the border. Anyway, enough of rambling on I think.
