Hi, I have just installed a new integrated dishwasher. The 2" (50mm), fixed grey waste pipe fitted behind where the machine is going is 190 mm above the floor to the top of the pipe. The service gap at the back of the machine is only 150mm high. Even with the feet cranked up to maximum height, the machine does not clear the waste pipe.

The machine is about 20mm proud of the kitchen units. I would chase the pipe into the wall, but it is a purpose built block of flats so the 2" waste runs into the party wall (to the right of the photo).

I tried cutting the existing rigid pipe and adding a section of flexible pipe with compression fittings. Despite butting this as close as possible to the party wall, the collar of the flexible pipe still just fouls the back of the machine. This is the only flexible 50mm pipe I can find online, so I can't just fit one with a shorter rigid section.

The machine is fouling against that 50mm pipe running along the wall behind it.

Does anyone have any ideas? IMG_6532.JPG
