Hi all,

Curious if someone could help me. I noticed under my kitchen sink that there was dripping underneath. I ran the taps but couldn’t find the source. Turns out it is when the taps and the surrounding area get splashed, and it drips down off of the faucet supply line. Plumber came and said it’s a common problem and there’s not much we can do. He put a seal around the tap so if water gets splashed it won’t drip down.

I’ve never had this issue before and it doesn’t really make sense to me as to why it would do this because it shouldn’t leak period? Should I get a second opinion?

Post some pictures.

It sounds like you might need plumbers’ putty under your faucet and under other penetrations in the sink deck.

This happens when the ole man does dishes. Doesn't pay attention to water splashing everywhere.
