I have a unique bathroom sink faucet (certainly pre 1985...could be from 40's or 50's ). I have attached pictures. I discovered a logo inside, but I can't find the maker online. The allen key required to undo the handle was European so I assume it is after metric system was adopted here....or imported European.

The tap had a drip that became such that I shut the water off to that tap. I am trying to find the washer etc to replace if possible.

you can see a metal washer of sorts on the bottom of the handle that is well worn. have applied wd40 to see if I can remove it. perhaps that is the problem?
I can't figure out how to remove the stem or base of the tap still on the sink, to see if there are other washers etc. do I need to remove the unit from below?

any assistance appreciated
