Hello

I hope to be moving soon to a new build house, which has a non vented system.

I realise that all water outlets showers and taps will have mains pressure on the hot and cold, but does this apply to toilet system makeup also ?

My concern is that flushing a toilet will impact on another person showering.

Many thanks

a non vented sewage system will cause your house to smell like a sewer
a vent stops the back siphoning the water out of the ptraps, which is a water seal to keep funky gas out of your home
below are 2 diagrams that show sewer gas,
the first drawing has a vent protecting the trap seal and the wife is happy
the second drawing shows the drain with out a vent, the trap seal has siphoned dry
the house smells like a huge fart and the wife is pissed2.jpg

I think we're missing something here. What does venting have to do with flushing effects on a shower?
What do you mean by a "non vented system". Hopefully you have your terminology incorrect.

Nothing to do with sewage.....talking about an unvented domestic water system ( vented has an immersion tank and loft tank ) a non vented system does not

Hope that’s cleaner
