I will try to be as NON confusing as i can in my explanation!
my issue is I’m trying to connect a water supply line to a dishwasher. Sounds easy right? Well, not on this setup my friend has. Let me explain.
picture if you can, two flexible supply hoses coming out of the ground, coming up to the faucet (which isa mixer tap). Then, picture, coming off the cold hose, a piece of 3/8 pvc pipe, several inches long with a valve on it. No thread at the end, just a simple piece of pipe. This is what apparently was used at one time to supply the old dishwasher. (How, I’ll never know). Anyway, the deal is: i have a metal compression fitting that I’ve tried gluing onto the end of that pipe, then connecting thesupply line hose to that, then to the dishwasher. Problem is , as you can imagine, metal does NOT glue to pvc very well. It just kept coming off under water pressure or just leaking. I thought of the idea of gluing a pvc fitting to the end of the pipe, but the problem is there’s no 3/8 fittings to be found (that match what i need). I’ve looked all over.
do you guys have any OTHER ideas on how i can get this done???
