Hi everyone,

Has anyone seen a dishwasher air gap where the body under the cap is metal (hopefully brass)? It seems that all that I've seen, cheap and expensive, are just cheap plastic. The only real difference I've seen is the decorative cap.

I'd really like to find a source for a good quality one with a metal body.

Any idea where to look or pointers?

Thanks in advance!
Larry.

I despise air gaps. Totally useless if you plumb your drain line correctly. I'd rather have either a soap dispenser, a pure water faucet or a instant hot water faucet installed where the air gap use to go,

This what we use. We have had to many of the plastic ones pop loose because of the fine threads on the plastic body won't hold the cap nuts.

Just installed a MOEN pop up with matching deco finish and had to wrap the plastic body with a Teflon tape to get it from popping off. Eventually replaced it with a copper air gap and swapped the cap
