Bacharach is good.
Gas leak detector gets you in the general area but I prefer soap to pinpoint.
The sniffer can pick up pipe dope and alert. It can also pick up allowable leakage through regulators and controls. So to combat that I still use a thin soap solution of dawn dish soap. I’ve done tests with dawn and it’s not corrosive enough to do anything to the pipe. If you’re concerned with that you can wash it off......
