Revising this drain line to remove two 90-Ells in a row at top.
This is 1.5" PVC coming down from kitchen sink
Would be easiest if I used a 45 ELL - or- should I use a Tee with cleanout as previous

Per code -- Changes of direction.
  • Cleanouts shall be installed at each change of direction greater than 45 degrees in the building sewer, building drain and horizontal waste or soil lines.
  • Where more than one change of direction occurs in a run of piping, only one cleanout shall be required for each 40 feet developed length of the drainage piping.

cut out everything pictured use a wye were the tee is put a street 45or regular 45 were the rubber coupling is and line up the angle of the wye and 45 yes put a cleanout there change the rubber coupling to a stainless steel sheilded (wrapped) 4 band coupling

FYI...Typically the cleanout would not be required by code, since the angle does not exceed 45 deg.
But that is a good location to have one.
