Hi Everyone,
I have a question about central heating treatment components- filters and scale inhibitors.
There's alot of brands out there offering these products - when doing a service or installing one of these, how do you know which one to use? Is there a manufacturer approved list?
So for example, British Gas - do they give you a list of approved brands you can buy a filter from?
I'm just wondering if there's some kind of approved parts list plumbers get to help them in choosing the right product.

Any help would be really appreciated!

Thanks

Fyi, most of the people on here are from the US or Canada.

But maybe some of them have some contacts in the UK.

In my limited industrial heat experiences, The larger places will most always speck out their own equipment, and contract its installation, their guys will usually handle the basic maintenance. (USA)
You may want to check with the steamfitters as they tend to deal with alot/most of that.
