Can Disposer be Too Heavy for Stainless Sink?

    I've never heard of this. Exactly how heavy is this disposal? I sure hope you don't cook with cast iron pans!

    16 gauge stainless steel is a 1/16th of an inch thick......there is a chart you could also look up Elkay they are a very good brand sink and see what theirs is

    just looked it up most sinks are beween 16-18 gauge

    Thanks everybody. Kohler got back with me and said bending of one of their sinks was not a problem. My plumber put on an insinkerater.
