I am a third generation plumber. Started as a helper when i was a young boy and haven't looked back since. My grandfather started our family business in 1965 and my father took it over in '80. I currently do the scheduling and day to day management of our guys as well as some quoting. I thought it would be good to join the forum so I could bounce ideas around to get feedback and/or help any that I may.

Welcome to the forum. I also have been doing plumbing since day one. Other the caddying when I was a teenager. I am now retired but my son has taken over the business.

I came to plumbing a little later than you guys, in my early 20's. I haven't really considered another career since then, though. I love doing this, and actually don't look forward to leaving the field if and when my little business requires it.
