Hi guys what's you're best method of boring steel studs to run two inch pipe.. I know there's an expensive tool that does , but is there any other way ?

are you talking regular metal studs?

i use a stud punch and tin snips. if you dont have a stud punch, drill a hole then use tin snips

i like the green handles [L] red is [R] yellow is straight

if you want a purdy round hole, use a hole saw

if your talking about red steel purlings. use a gas axe [cutting torch]

Thanks guys . I'm definitely going to buy the stud punch.. We had a hard time the other day drilling our holes on 18-20 gauge steel studs. Ok(more like embarrassing)

Whe had a massive amount of hoes to drill on a large job I was on. I used a can of liquid wrench grease. Dipped the hole saw in the can and drilled away on speed one. It made the hole saw last twice as long. But these were the interior metal studs.
