Best practice for shopping bulk water heater orders?

Just trying to not get ripped off. Needing about 100 - 125 a month for the next few months. Where are some places I should be inquiring? A mixture of tall & short 40 & 50 gallon units. Most are electric.

I have heard mixed reviews about brand. I think the most important item(s) for me at this point are price followed by quality.

I have got in contact with a few local plumbing warehouses, just wondering if it is better to get in contact with the manufacturer? Mostly looking for guidance on the retail/wholesale process behind these things.

I did a 500+ water heater project and did contact the mfr reps.
But that was more than 20 years ago.
It will depend on how your local reps are willing to deal with going through or around the normal distributors.
But at the rate you describe, you will literally be a distributor if you can warehouse truckloads.
