Hello!
I have a bathtub that leaks from the drain. the drain gasket and plug where replaced.
as well as a healthy amount of 100% silicone.

the leak appears to be in the drain pipe tract.

I have no access from behind the faucet wall as this is another unit in a building.

the bathtub sits about 1 inch above concrete. In a ground level with no basement. So no access from below.

I made a access hatch to see from other side of bathroom. Not much can be seen.
looking for any solutions besides removing the bath tub.

as I would have to make a giant mess.

also if i could pin point the leak more precicely i would feel more comfortable removing the bath tub.

Its probable if the leak is under the concreteit would fall on the management company to fix it. i would have to prove that one way or another.

one idea would be to just pour some concrete under tub seam to seal the gap.
But that could end up inside the drain pipe 👎

Rent or buy an inspection camera, with a long snake with a camera on it.
They are usually about nine feet long, but many other sizes too.
They have a light on the camera end.
You can look under there while the tub is draining.
You can buy a decent cheap one for $50.00.
You can usually record pics and short vids, to a memory cord, or sometimes to your phone.

i have worked on a few slabs in mass one access panel i worked from was in the bedroom closet close to the tub drain.....is your access panel in the right place.....i have to go to another slab and do the same thing cut a hole in the closet wall to get to the trap the slabs i have dealt with have drum traps

Thanks for the input
Geofd:

the access panel is not in the right place it should have been behind the faucet in the tub but that is a neighbors unit.

sounds like the only way to look in there. It appears the tub needs to come off regardless weather the leak is in the drain assebly or somewhere in the concrete.

i have a cheap borescope but it is not very maneuverable around tight spots. or I might not know how to use it. one that can be steered like the ones surgeons use would be ideal $$$$

dig out the drain in the dirt then assess the issue i fixed a broken drain by opening a closet wall , and digging around the drain was it a pain yes, you just have to have patience

Thank you ended up removing the bath tub.
Digging out a giant hole and replacing the drain to the main line.

could someone please help me identify what moen faucet cartridge is this? Its leaking when its opened.
