Bathroom Widespread Faucet Removal

I'm going to remove the old faucet in my bathroom but don't see any push clips to remove the parts circled in red in the picture. Is there a trick to removing these parts? Thanks

I believe you push down on the top while pulling the hose.

Yes, or just snip through the upper hoses with side cutters, an eighth inch at a bite.
