Bathroom sink slow draining

My parents moved into a 55 & over recently and their renovated bathroom sink is draining very poorly. Looks like the drain is either pitched back or it’s the way it flows. Attached are pictures of the sink draining, which takes about 2 minutes to fully drain after washing your hands, and the drain system currently in place.

I’m hoping to fix this while I’m here for Christmas. I have general in construction and maintenance.

Any suggestions on what’s needed to fix this issue??

start out simple
1]is the pop up set to low? not allowing the water to drain. adjust pop up height
2]remove the pop up and see if a glob of hair and soap is wrapped around the linkage rod
3]remove p trap and clean it

if that did not work
change out the auto vent, it could be stuck closed

buy a sink cable, and rod the drain, put the cable in the pipe when you remove the auto vent

You may want to remove the trap below and clean it out.
