Can someone help me with this. The brass nut is going to be the end of me (nut not currently on). I’ve tried teflon tape and it still leaks like a sieve. Can you help me figure out what it’s purpose is and how to keep it from leaking?
Here is what you have, you could order those whole fitting and rob the cap. Or search for just the cap.
The seal is made on the face of the fitting, not the threads, that’s why your Teflon doesn’t seal it. It needs a rubber washer in the bottom of the cap.
