It's rolled up a bit, but not 45. Plus, this whole leg is sloped so I expect (hope) it will drain fine.Should this wye be rolled up to a 45, where the vent is joining in?
Just wondering?View attachment 27948
Interesting thought. But if everything is done right, what am I cleaning out of that vent? There will be a screen at the top so hopefully no smutz will get in there. Do vents need to be cleaned out?Maybe rain water will clean it a little bit?
I don’t think vents should be covered, especially in Minnesota.
Snow, rain, water vapor, all of these can freeze up and block the vent.

If the drain backs up into it. I’ve seen sewers back up into the sink drain under the floor and clog it with toilet paper.Interesting thought. This house is balloon framed. Would rather not cut 2 1/4" out of a 2x4 stud on an exterior wall. The vent actually goes up into the ceiling and jogs left to go out to the roof.
