Amtrol expansion tank

I have to install a new Amtrol expansion tank on my hydronic boiler. They supposedly come pre-charged to 15 psi. Should I check it with a tire gauge or just assume it’s good to go ?

So. I checked it and it is 12 PSI
Would you suggest 15 or 20?

I think, that if you’re on city water, it is supposed to be at the normal system pressure. If you’re on a well you probably don’t need it, as the well tank, will handle any thermal expansion..

Check the installation instructions. If you don’t have the instructions, you can download them.
