The auger cart and tractor: We use this so the combine never has to stop

Here's where we store the grain.

I am slightly jelous, I have always wanted to be a farmer or work on a farm and don't know why.

I'll try and get a head on pic of the cart and combine running together. They are very close together with this head on.

That's a MacDon FD70 draper style head, 40 feet wide.

I'm stepping out on a limb here, but you're a farmer.

I'd like to know if most farms purchase that equipment, or do they rent them during harvest time? They look reeaaalll expensive!

It is reeeeeeeeeeaaaaaallllyyyy expensive. I would say in our area, most farms buy on payments, but don't have near the money invested as us...

I think the combine alone ( no heads) is over $300k...

What's the fastest you can get one up to?

I need the one in the last picture with a lawn mowing attachment, it would take me about 3 minutes to mow every lawn on my street.

You could make $20 per lawn! How many lawns are there?

There are about 20 lawns. I could have that machine paid off by the year 3098.

I'm working on it. You ever started a business in CA it gets expensive quick.

I've never even been there, been told it's nice.

Tracks tops out at 21.5, the ones with duals can hit 26.2, the sprayer can almost get 30, and i don't know about ther rest...

You think you could mod it to get it any higher? Twice the farmin in half the time?

Well, you can only work ground so fast... and you don't want to drive a tractor across the field at anything over 15mph or it'll throw you right off... even then, 15 is a bit fast...

Top speed for some of the things i've pulled:
Weatherproofer, DoAll, disc - 6mph
TillOll - 8-9mph

I'm just saying find a parking lot and get to business!

:cool:I figured you as a farmer a while back. I think it was when you were showing pics of your off road toys in another thread. Farmers have to be handy and jacks of all trades.

Here's mine
