Hi all,

I have a total mystery with one of my upstairs toilets.

This morning I flushed and the bowl filled, water swirled and slowly drained out. what caught my attention is that it totally drained out and sucked air. The plunger didn't change a thing and no drains in any sick, tub or toilet upstairs or down is acting up.

A brief disclosure is that this happened to the same exact toilet about a year ago. I snaked it after the plunger didn't help and then eventually pulled the toilet to try to get more serious. When I put a new wax ring on and reset the toilet everything was back to normal, so long that I forgot that it had even happened. Now I am back in the same boat with the same issue.

When it was fixed, I assumed the 10 year old wax ring somehow broke seal and the new one fixed it.

Has anyone run in to the issue before? Thanks all.
