so the bosses want to try upgrading the current 1.6gpf toilets to 2.4gpf,, makes sense more water ,, more flow,,, but ive changed a few already and they seem to only last a month or two at max before they fail and im replacing them ,, the 1.6's last for years ,, 6 story building at 92psi domestic ,, can someone makes any sense of this why the 2.4's dont seem to last as long ??

What type toilets did you have and what toilets do you have now ?

they are and have been american standard with sloan valves and hardware ,,, we've been replacing the diaghrams,, building is a hospital

will no longer flush ,, its like they cant hold pressure,, replace with new and it works fine,,, for a while

yes sir thats the one ,, the green 1.6 lasts for years here ,,, but that one only 2 months ,,, ok ,, wierd question,, im using the same top cap for the 1.6 with that 2.4 ,,, is there a different cap that needs to be used when using the 2.4 ??

think i found the problem,,, after checking further,,,, the toilet itself is only rated for 1.0 to 1.28 gpf ,,, so even the 1.6 is probably too big for our building,, thanks for the brain activity and help
