1970's house with cast iron drain system, Opinions?

Opinions wanted on whether I should keep my old cast iron system or upgrade to PVC during this whole-house remodel. Not a rental house.

If everything's working fine and draining correctly then don't touch it.
But if you have the money you might as well just rip it out anyway in case something does go wrong

Like Voleti said if its in the budget, change it. I would need to know how old is the structure and how long do you plan on staying. Would be a huge upgrade at selling time.

your kitchen drain will be the first to go.....if i had to pick a drain to start with that would be it
