Please help with water softener drain line

Hello! New here, I hope to get some guidance. So, we moved to a townhouse, in Phoenix metro area, AZ, that is built in 2016. In the garage, there was a 1” CPVC water loop with a 1/2” drain line right below the loop. The drain line goes through the wall and upstairs and ends right above the...

Sewer drain problem under mobile home

Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum so, if I posted in the wrong place I apologize. I have an issue underneath the mobile home that I'm living in currently. It appears to me that part of the sewer drain is clogged or leaking, and as a result there is a good bit of water standing under the...

Any idea what this stuff is I pulled from the drain?

I have a brand new house that was just built two years ago, we have another place so we aren't even here all the time, and I'm usually the only person using this shower. All piping is either PEX or PVC (which supposedly is resistant to mineral buildup?), and there are actually two strainers...

Lye solidified in my drain and is blocking it. What can I use to dissolve it???

So, I poured some 100% pure lye beads into my drain to clear it. What happened was, when it didn't work I took off my p-trap and connections under my double kitchen sink. In one of the elbows leading to the p-trap there was a huge chunk of solidified lye. The beads melded together. I took that...

Shower drain holding water - ideas?

    Sink not draining, brand new.

Just install a single drain sink. Professionally installed by a licensed plumber. The sink is a Kurran single basin/drain and the drain is offset. At a low volume of water the sink drains fine but once you turn up the water flow volume, it starts to overflow and slowly drain. This is the...

What do you do when something long-dead and reeking is way down the drain?

(tl;dr at bottom.) I wanted to think I was smelling sewer gas coming from one of my sink drains, but I realized after doing everything standard including cleaning out my wide-open roof vents that there was no way that was what I was smelling was sewage-related. The smell is nothing like when I...

Overflowing outside drain clog - please help

Hi guys, Just noticed my outside drain (side of house) is overflowing. Looks like wet toilet paper on the grass and the drain cover has popped off. See pic below. Any tips on how to fix this? It's not a constant flow. Cheers, Dave.

    Washing Machine Drain Overflows

Very slow draining of washing machine. Same Master plumber I used in 3/2018 for same reason came out this July. Told last year that wye was installed backwards when piping replaced in 2002. No clogs between ‘02 and ‘18. After 4 hrs of snaking clog couldn’t be removed. I was told I need to...
