I live in north Florida where winters are mild by most standards but we do get down to 18-19 degrees overnight at times. I usually wrap our outside faucets in an old sock and/or part of a tshirt then put one of those caps that you get at Lowes/Home Depot. Pretty good luck...no frozen pipes...
