Simple question on shower head connection

Wrap the shower arm threads with teflon tape, and coat tape with rector seal, now thread it in. The tape should make the fit a bit more snug so you can stop it at the correct position. Matt

    Toilet flushing problem

Good way to tell if it's clogged, get a 5 gallon bucket, fill it with water, and dump it down the toilet. If it sucks right down, you know the bowl is clear. If it's still not flushing properly when you flush it with the handle, it could be a problem with the toilet itself. A lot of...

Can a gurgling toilet resolve itself?

I'm assuming you have an exterior clean out in the yard for the sewer line? Obviously the line needs to be snaked / cleared. I would definitely go light on the water usage til you can get a drain guy there. You could try a pressure bag that can be bought at Home Depot or Lowes. You...

    Tub Spout Diverter problem

By the looks of it and the fact it's already pulled I'd replace it. Those black rubber pads are usually a attached to the cartridge. Make sure you get the right size replacement bacause there are a couple different ones and grease it before putting it in.

kitchen sink & dishwasher backing up

Can a gurgling toilet resolve itself?

I've been in the drain business for 10 years and have seen similar situations a hand full of times. I have had calls from customers that there sewer line is backed up and by the time I arrive a couple hours later, the line had cleared on its own. Like I said it's only happened like that a few...

Hot Water Side of Waterheater and PVC

Is the leak at the dielectric nipple coming off the water heater? You never really wanna use a plastic female adapter coming off the nipple because they can crack. Cpvc is great because they make a female adapter with brass female threads on one side, and glue fitting on the other. Up...
