    Need Help Replacing Faucet Stem

I was not being harsh I was just being honest. This faucet in particular is very simple to work on. I'm all for people trying things themselves and saving a dollar but there comes a point when it's time to hire a professional. These stems are also notorious for breaking when trying to get them...

    Need Help Replacing Faucet Stem

That Delta tool is for their single handle faucets. Not two handle. That is Price Pfister and whoever keeps saying Delta needs to stick to what they know which is not stems. Just take two flat head screwdrivers and take the trim off if it is that concerning. Or call a professional because it...

    Need Help Replacing Faucet Stem

Cut the splines off the stem so you can get your socket on it. Or get a deep socket to fit. Pick up the stems at a local supply house before doing this so you'll have them on hand and can do it all at once.

    Need Help Replacing Faucet Stem

That is Price Pfister. Unscrew the brass nut and the stem will pull out. Delta does not make a stem that looks remotely close to that.

Your problem is that you bought an aftermarket instead of the original... Cheaper is not always better. Hurts to try to save a dollar sometimes.

    Flushing is getting harder...

Chains on those are very short and don't need hardly any adjusting. Probably just need to go to a plumbing supply house and get the original Kohler seal for that toilet. Part number GP1059291 Probably don't have anything to do with the water level either seems to how that is all original...

    What's this part? It's leaking.

Or just replace it. Very simple change. Parts usually cost as much as the PRV anyway. And it is 3/4

    toilet ID and tank replacement

There will be a 4 digit number in the back of the tank and that is how you identify your toilet. The 4-digit number will start with a 2 or a 4 Let me know what the number is or take a picture and post it

    Cartridge Sizes

That's why you don't order cartridges by size. You order it by the the correct brand, model and part number. Taking measurements just makes it a million times more difficult and you end up in the situation your in. If you don't have the information than someone could identify for you (which...

Help Replacing Washer and O-Ring on Bathroom Sink Handle

PB Blaster is good stuff. Kohler GP77005 and GP77006 are at the least 2-3 years old if not more. They recently went to a new two handle stem. It would be an easy fix if I was able to work on it but that is not the case. I don't see how Kohler can help unless they come to your house and take it...

Help Replacing Washer and O-Ring on Bathroom Sink Handle

You can easily keep the old as long as you find someone who knows what they are doing. A lot of these new plumbers don't even know how to approach this I'm afraid. Find a reputable plumber in your area and if you can not find one than you may have to replace it. In the mean time keep spraying it...

Help Replacing Washer and O-Ring on Bathroom Sink Handle

I know it's a few extra steps and a pain to do but they are a whole lot easier to take out if you remove the body and put it in a vise before you try removing the stem. Do not use channel locks or pipe wrench because 90% of the time it will tear the stem all to pieces and it will never be...
