i agree with greg c. pex is far better then copper in various aspects. depending on the water content pex last longer.

i use a combo of cutters, chop saw for rough ins and top outs. recip saw for small jobs, ratchet cutter for small pipe and a rigid cutter with pvc blade for finish work( less mess to clean up and more precise) never use hack saw though thats for non plumbers lol

i use rigid cordless set 18 volt, its tough but not the best. the free repair part is good, especially if you have more then one set. the company i work for has 4, he will only buy rigid.
