The VFD Drive on our system is constant torque drive. Apparently it is the wrong type of drive for our application.

I just wanted to know for a centrifugal water pump what is better. The VFD controlling the pump is designed for constant torque.

What do we have to do to change to a non vfd system?

Our system is complicated. Our well pumps water into a 5000 gallon storage tank. The VFD dies not control the well pump but it controls a surface pump which transport the water. The well pump is not the issue. It is the surface pump controlled by the vfd.
