    Trying to find NIBCO cartridge

Regrinding the seat and replacing the washer might fix your problem. Replacement of the hose bib is the best fix.

    Goodwin's Complete Cleaner

If your home was built in the early 60's, you DON'T want to use chemical drain cleaners. They will cause early and aggressive corrosion of your metal drainage pipes, causing MAJOR issues. Get a local drain cleaning company who knows what they are doing to clean your drainage piping.

    Shower handle stuck

Probably the worst is that you will have to buy a new trim out kit for the valve. I would bet that some careful work with a rubber mallet and a padded pry bar will get it off.

    Is my fitting split

That looks very much like Mueller's trademark stamp. Mueller is a copper fitting manufacturer.

Cast Iron Pipe and Trench-less Pipelining

I have been involved in a couple of these insurance claims/repipes with cast iron down here in FL. The insurance company will usually not pay for replacement without being forced to. In one of the two cases, they finally did pay to replace, in the other, it is still ongoing. I would be prepared...

    Shower HELP!

Your shower needs to be demoed and redone.

    Drain backing up?

You could possibly have a soft grease clog. A snake can pass right through that, and the grease will reseal itself.

    Drilling through exterior walls

It is a metal plate that has been bent into a flat bottomed U shape, that will fit over a 2x4 stud. It has a round section missing from the sides of the U to fit around a pipe, and has screw/nail holes to fasten it to the wooden stud. It's purpose is to reinforce the stud when it is necessary to...

pinhole leaks on hot water recirculation line

I am assuming that the leaks are all on either the recirculation line or the hot line that leads to it? I have heard of something similar happening in a big assisted living facility, with a continuous recirc system. Does the system have an aquastat or a timer on it? You might have some...

Can I tie all my vents together in attic?

Under Florida code you can. Not sure about PA.

3/4 or 1" line to veiga manifold?

Because of the smaller internal diameter of most PEX fittings, I would recommend running the main in 1". You would probably be just fine with 3/4", but for the few bucks more, I would use 1".

Brainstorming for best hot water solution for home with 8 people

My experience with electric tankless has not been all that great. And if you add a storage tank, you loose the only efficiency gain you get from going to an electric tankless.

    Bending PEX sticks

I have never heard that before, have never read that before, not in training classes from manufacturer's reps, not in install manuals.

    Is this a loop?

That isn't specifically preplumbed for a water softener, but that section of pipe that comes out of the wall, turns, has a valve, and then turns back into the wall can have a water softener connected into it.

Brainstorming for best hot water solution for home with 8 people

There is quite a bit of upfront cost involved with going with a condensing indoor propane tankless. Plus tankless do require maintenance, which does add to the cost. While I don't "know" the numbers, the energy cost would probably be less with the tankless, but it would take some time to get...

Brainstorming for best hot water solution for home with 8 people

Putting in a big propane tankless might get you the amount of water you need, depending on what your max GPM demand and groundwater temperature is. Cost upfront, you would probably be cheapest having another circuit ran and install two 5o gallon electric tanks.

What Materials Are Best For Kitchen Sinks?

In your price range, I would stick with stainless. You should be able to get a decent gauge stainless for that, unless you are going for something really wild.

    Overflow drain looks uneven.

That waste/overflow assembly is glued together, so there is no adjusting it without opening the wall behind it and cutting the overflow riser shorter. It will PROBABLY be OK as is, I have seen them farther off than that and not leak. However, if I were to find that before the drywall went up...

anyone know what this is? make/model

As already mentioned, that is a Moen PosiTemp valve. Any PosiTemp trim you find will work on it. Were I you, I would be curious as to what that odd buildup on the cold connection is.

1500 Watt Inverter for Sump Pump

I have had great service from donrowe.com They have always been very willing to offer me advice. Pumps can be hard to get started, as I have learned with an inverter system and air compressor I have mounted in my service truck. But I don't have any experience with a sump pump system.
