    Shower head spontaneously starts dripping.

I should have mentioned that my bathroom is located in my apartment/suite in a condominium building.

    What did you do today?

Today I reported a Schneider Electric APC brand Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) that internally caught fire and smoked to the US Consumer Product Safety Commission. I disassembled it and discovered that all 4 of its power transistors fried and caught fire. It has a manufacturing defect, the...

The digital pound weighs nothing and with inflation will be worth nothing.

Our plumber cost us $9000 in construction costs bc of his mistake.

Do you have dated photographs of behind the cabinet showing water stains? Do you have dated photographs of the floor under the shower pan showing no water staining? You need evidence.

    Shower head spontaneously starts dripping.

What causes a shower head to spontaneously start dripping? The shower's water is totally turned off at the single lever control at the shower and at the control for the shower wand which is located approximately 6 feet away. It happens when no one has used the shower for hours or even a day or...

AD Waters/Aquabrass - No Warranty On Replacement Parts

Since I wrote the OP, I will not be purchasing the replacement Aquabrass/AD Waters thermostatic cartridge for the master bathroom shower, the condominium corporation's plumber is supplying it. The problem with no warranty covering the replacement cartridge won't be mine.

Lower water pressure in high rise when 1/2 inch replaced with 3/4 inch risers - what should be done?

You are so right about living in a condominium. My wife and I were naive about what living in a condo would be like.

Need to know brand of Shower Thermostatic Temperature Control Cartridge

I found out it is AD Waters/Aquabrass. It is not in their product list anymore but the thermostatic cartridge is available for $205.

HOT WATER TEMPERATURE AT SINKS ONLY 85 DEGREES

Apparently that has happened in the building. It is difficult to determine because it requires the condo Board to get a plumber to do it and the residents have to be notified and it costs a lot of money which the condo Board doesn't want to spend.

AD Waters/Aquabrass - No Warranty On Replacement Parts

Does anyone know who I can contact at AD Waters/Aquabrass regarding this? I moved into a condominium with a previously renovated bathroom that has AD Waters/Aquabrass plumbing fixtures and accessories installed for the previous owner. The AD Waters/Aquabrass thermostatic valve needs replacing...

Need to know brand of Shower Thermostatic Temperature Control Cartridge

I need to know the brand of this shower thermostatic temperature control cartridge. The plumber who came to fix a problem needed to remove it but won't until he knows what the brand/maker of the thermostatic cartridge is. I told him I would try to find out. I took some photos of it while the...

HOT WATER TEMPERATURE AT SINKS ONLY 85 DEGREES

Did you solve the problem? The building I live in, 10 storeys with 58 units, has the same problem which plumbers have been trying to fix for 2 years without success.

Lower water pressure in high rise when 1/2 inch replaced with 3/4 inch risers - what should be done?

I understand that raising the pressure is not a remedy for obstructions in the plumbing system, the lower water pressure problem is pervasive, it is system-wide, throughout the building since some of the risers were partially or completely replaced with larger diameter pipe than was originally...

Lower water pressure in high rise when 1/2 inch replaced with 3/4 inch risers - what should be done?

I agree, moving is the only effective remedy to the plumbing and other problems with the condominium building I live in. I owned a house before, I, personally, did a lot of the household maintenance including plumbing, electrical (I am an electrician), appliance repairs, carpentry, etc. I didn't...

Lower water pressure in high rise when 1/2 inch replaced with 3/4 inch risers - what should be done?

I agree but I wasn't around when that decision was made. The plumbing developed pinhole leaks and a company, NuFlow, convinced the condo board to have it line the plumbing with epoxy as a cheaper remedy than replacing all of the plumbing. NuFlow demonstrated the epoxy lining procedure to the...

Lower water pressure in high rise when 1/2 inch replaced with 3/4 inch risers - what should be done?

All the epoxy treated plumbing should be replaced, the epoxy lining breaking up and plugging the plumbing is a continuous problem, but the condo board doesn’t want to do that because it would be very expensive and require a very high extraordinary expense levy on every condo owner that many...

Lower water pressure in high rise when 1/2 inch replaced with 3/4 inch risers - what should be done?

The condo board is advised by the property manager and plumber and this work, replacing plugged plumbing has been going on for over a year. I brought my concern up with the plumber but he didn’t respond to it, he ignored my question. I notice that, in addition to the water pressure being lower...

Lower water pressure in high rise when 1/2 inch replaced with 3/4 inch risers - what should be done?

I live in a 10 story condominium which has serious plumbling problems due to the lining of the hot water plumbing with epoxy 10 years ago to fix and prevent pinhole leaks in the 1/2 inch copper hot water plumbing pipe risers. The epoxy has deteriorated and is breaking off and plugging the...
