About cheap, compact electric heating taps

One of the reviews on Ali Express I read said the heating elements don't last very long - 1 to 2 years was mentioned, but at that price it's hardly a problem. As long as they are safe....

About cheap, compact electric heating taps

The faucet certainly seems amazingly cheap, which is why the OP seemed concerned that it may not be safe, or fit for purpose, but if those certifications are adequate, it looks like it would be a decent bit of kit for the money. I guess being 3Kw it would need a serious supply - would draw 12...

About cheap, compact electric heating taps

We have had electric showers in the UK for decades, I've never seen a headline "child electrocuted in the shower", ever. We have strictly regulated installers, and shower manufacturers produce safe, reliable products. Mira is one of the best selling brands. Of course, that's not to say that a...

    Hi from South Wales

Many thanks Havasu, I did as you suggested and posted pictures of my filtration plant, and one of the members, Russ Smart, was able to help me solve my problem, so many thanks to him and the forum, extremely helpful and useful, and saved me an expensive call out. I will recommend the forum to my...

    Potable water accumulator pressure.

HI Russ, I did what you suggested and closed the valve to the filter tank. The pump stopped cycling. As you said, this meant a water usage somewhere in the house system. I found a valve in the house that had been left open in error by our plumber when fixing a leak recently (he had drained the...

    Potable water accumulator pressure.

I've been watching the pump cycling, and it is dropping to 40 then switching on, but it only gets to 50psi before switching off again. It takes a minute or so to repeat this cycle. There are no taps open or water being used in washing machine etc, so I don't know why the pressure is dropping...

    Potable water accumulator pressure.

Thanks for your replies, that helps me to understand what is going on a bit better! Yes the borehole is a well. Yes my pressure vessel/accumulator has a schrader valve on top. Now I understand that I can't add air unless the pump is off, and I drain the accumulator. I suspect there may be a...

    Hi from South Wales

Just found this forum today as I needed to find some info about cold water accumulator pressure vessels. We have a private water supply via a borehole and treatment plant, and the accumulator is part of this system to stabilise water pressure and stop the pump constantly cycling on and off.

    Potable water accumulator pressure.

We have a private water supply from a borehole. The water from the borehole goes to a treatment plant that includes an accumulator vessel. I would like to know what the pressure should be set to in this vessel, as the pump has started switching on an off frequently so I believe the vessel needs...
