Just became a Plumber in the Philippines!

Filipino and Tagalog are practically the same. :) I can understand probably 60% of Filipino since it shares a lot of words with Bisaya and Spanish. From where I am from, English and Bisaya are more widely spoken, so I don't get much practice speaking Tagalog. Lol

I am new to grease traps, and I need help

    My thoughts as well. :)

I am new to grease traps, and I need help

Thank you for the diagram. This is pretty close to what I imagined. The only thing that was different was I was going to attach the vent to the pipe that would lead to the sewers. Do you think the vent from the P-trap suffice? I guess I could do it your way too. From what I understand from you...

Just became a Plumber in the Philippines!

Thank you for the warm welcome. I will be sure to check it out. I'm a plumber who is freshly graduated, so I would probably feel intimidated by the more experienced plumbers there. Lol Are there profession rookie plumbers there as well?

Just became a Plumber in the Philippines!

Haha that's right. Thanks for trying to communicate to me in Filipino. Makes me feel some sort of acceptance in this community. There are four main languages in the Philippines. Those are Filipino, English, Spanish, and Bisaya. I'm stronger at speaking English and Bisaya. Is it true? Your...

I am new to grease traps, and I need help

Thanks, Zanne. Your insights have helped me out. I wasn't sure about having the P-trap attached to the sink since it is connected to a pipe that leads to the dirt without any septic tank or whatever. I am guessing the previous plumber or the owner of the place that my friend is renting out...

    I hate vents!!!

I am from the Philippines, and the ways and the code here might be different there in terms of plumbing. I will try to suggest anyway. In my country, we place a vent in every drain that is connected to the soil stack. From what I remember, the vent is there to prevent fumes from the septic to...

I am new to grease traps, and I need help

Unforturnately, it doesn't include any kind of manual inside the box. All it has inside are some certificates, and they are written in Chinese. Would you have any idea what is the purpose of the ball valve on the side of this grease trap?

I am new to grease traps, and I need help

Thank you for suggestion. I looked through the plumber's code of Massachusetts, but I couldn't find a grease trap similar to my friend's. I guess I might have to wing this grease trap.

I am new to grease traps, and I need help

Hi guys, I'm new here, and I am from the Philippines. I also kind of need help. I kind of got an idea of how a grease trap works, but I still need some information on how to install them. In my technical college, they didn't teach us anything about grease traps since we lack equipment and...

Just became a Plumber in the Philippines!

Hi! Nice to meet all of you! Last month, I just became a plumber in the Philippines. I still have a lot to learn since the things that I have learned in my technical college didn't really have much equipment, and materials. I hope to learn from all of you. I also that I will get to know all of...
