    nothing is working. made a 'wrench' out of wood. (didn't have any metal to work with. The wood just tore.

    Thank you all. valves have been opened to let pressure out. will try vinegar and/ or CLR. The screwdriver method won't budge it at this time. Funny that the cost of the two kits is about as much as a new valve. It just looked easier to rebuild rather than replace.

    Wilkins 720-A PVB -- Its been making a lot of noise during low flow use. I bought the rebuild kits. My problem now is that I can not screw the top piece (bonnet) off. it is corroded shut . penetrating oil no help. leverage, no help. any suggestions? Heat maybe? I don't own a torch.

    Yes I did this no problem. I have a pulling tool but I don't pull the old one unless it doesn't work out.

    Valve by Tardisious posted Oct 25, 2019 at 5:41 PM can't get this valve under sink to shut off. it spins with intermittent resistance. Is it supposed to shut of with a quarter turn?
