Thank you for your replies, I really appreciate it. I have solved my problem. I rented a reciprocating saw from home depot and just saw the old faucet off. I tried uploading the photos here but it says its too big of a file. So I just added it to my media. Thanks again for all the suggestions.

Thank you for your reply. How do i get the black part out to get to the nut? I tried prying it off it wont come off.

I am replacing my kitchen faucet but run into some trouble. I am having a hard time removing the center part of the faucet under the sink. I included a couple of pictures. I tried unscrewing it by hand as i did the other two, but it won't budge. The nut seems like is encased in this black...
