thanks for the help!!!! problem solved.

We want to replace our ahower/tub faucet but am unsure as to how to remove the existing assemble. The tub filler and diverter are impeding the removal of the escutcheon plate. Do I just brut force it off or is there some for of mechanical attacment that I must adress first. Please see attached...
